Are masks required?
Face coverings that cover the nose and mouth must always be worn by guests unless actively eating or drinking in your ticketed seat.

Is staff required to wear a mask?
All our WSSD team and event hosts are required to wear a face covering over their noses and mouths.

Is this event taking place indoors?

No. This event will take place in an open-air setting, with distance of more than 8 feet between tables. Seating arrangements will be organized by household.

Will documentation of the vaccine be necessary to attend the event in-person?
At this time, we highly encourage all attendees receive their COVID-19 vaccination. Masks are required for all attendees. Supporters wishing to remain home will receive a special celebration package to enjoy at a reduced “ticket” price.

Can I support the event without attending?

Yes. Support options include viewing and placing bids on our online auction, making direct contributions to WSSD, and purchasing an “at-home” supporter celebration package available for pick-up or delivery.

Where are hand sanitizing stations located?
Hand sanitizer stations are positioned throughout event space and are readily available for both guests and staff to use frequently.

Why does The Waldorf School of San Diego hold a gala?

The express purpose of this event is to raise critical operating dollars to support teacher salaries, campus facilities improvement and maintenance, offer tuition adjustment funding, and enact timely school priorities. Tuition dollars support between 75-80% of school operational costs, meaning that philanthropic dollars are crucial to the school’s operations and sustainability.
